The RC Public Art Program is seeking artists to design four (4) utility boxes that will bring a new level of color and creativity to the city. The project will transform blank canvases into functional artwork and highlight the work of local artists to help create a more vibrant, attractive cityscape while contributing to the character of the neighborhood. The chosen art designs will be printed on vinyl and installed on the box.

As part of our summer community project, our cohort is exploring the possibility of creating a mural in Koreatown, Los Angeles, centered on Korean LGBTQIA+ visibility and representation. Our goal is to celebrate the diversity of the Korean American community while fostering dialogue, inclusion, and belonging through public art.
