Eligibility To be eligible, you must be an artist of color between the ages of 18 and 26. You must also be a permanent New York City resident. Priority considerations are given to Lower East Side residents and NYCHA tenants. Who are we looking for? We are accepting 8 fellows for our 2025 cohort. The program supports artists creating original work. Artists from all disciplines may apply. Each Fellow will: – receive a $500 stipend – participate in weekly meetings with the full fellowship from February thru April 2025 – meet and hear from established arts professionals of color – share artistic works-in-progress and career challenges – identify topics of interest for workshops such as fundraising, marketing, and portfolio development – present work through a culminating exhibit / performance on Saturday April 26

The Iryna Zarutska Memorial Mural Project honors a young Ukrainian woman who was tragically killed in Charlotte after fleeing the war in Ukraine. We're creating large-scale photorealistic memorial murals across major US cities. These murals serve as a lasting tribute to Iryna and raise awareness about violent crime and the need for accountability in our justice system. This is an apolitical project focused on human dignity and community safety - a reminder that behind every headline is a real person whose life mattered, and that our communities must do better to protect vulnerable people.
