APPLY HERE -- https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=14777 -- The Oregon Arts Commission manages the Art in Public Places Program for the State of Oregon. The roster serves as
a resource for art selection panels to identify artists most suitable for specific projects.
HOW IT WORKS

sole resource for identifying appropriate artists for a project. The roster is completely refreshed every three years. If
you were selected for a previous Oregon Art in Public Places Roster you must reapply to be considered for the 2025-
2027 Roster.
DEADLINES
The application deadline for the 2025-2027 artist roster is Friday, March 14th 2025. After the initial deadline,
applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed every six months. If you wish to apply after the initial
deadline, please contact Sarah Baylinson at the Oregon Arts Commission: sarah.baylinson@biz.oregon.gov for details
on how to apply. Artists not selected for the roster may reapply one year from being notified.

The Sacramento County Department of Airports is soliciting Statements of Qualifications And Experience (SOQ&Es) from qualified artists to design, fabricate, and install permanent artworks at the Sacramento International Airport (SMF) as part of the Department’s large-scale capital improvement program known as “SMForward.” SMForward, which includes six major construction projects, represents a historic opportunity to integrate art into the traveler’s experience while reinforcing and contributing to the Sacramento region’s identity. This RFQ&E is a call for multiple artwork opportunities under SMForward’s Concourse B Expansion project.
Budget Description
Artworks could be large or small scale and commissioned or purchased with budgets ranging between $25,000 to $200,000. Number of commissions or direct purchases of existing artworks: 4–6
All budgets are inclusive of all costs associated with delivering the services described in this RFQ&E, including artists’ fees, and costs associated with design, fabrication, and installation of artwork, including transportation.
Project Description
CONCOURSE B EXPANSION
Six (6) additional gates will be added to the west end of Concourse B. These areas are primarily for passengers awaiting departure but also for arriving passengers. They are areas of interlude that give the viewer time to slow down and reflect before, after, or between flights. The opportunity here is to invite travelers deeper into the works of art and revel in their detail, sparking moments of curiosity, contemplation, and calm.
In collaboration with the architect, spaces to hang two-dimensional works of art or low-relief wall pieces will be designed at multiple gates. Artworks for these spaces could be large or small scale and commissioned or purchased with budgets ranging between $25,000 to $200,000. This opportunity was specifically created to engage artists who do not have public art experience.
Artwork Goals
At the heart of the SMForward Art Program is the desire to cultivate an unforgettable experience for every traveler. Whether a traveler is walking to their gate, waiting in line at security, stepping off the plane towards the baggage claim area, or catching a car to the city, a successful public artwork can elevate their travel experience. Art can contribute to, reflect, and encapsulate the exhilaration at the start of an adventure, the warmth, welcome, and comfort of a return home, and help create a contemplative calm during a long layover.

Project Goals – 6x26:
The City of Umatilla has a goal to complete six (6) murals in Umatilla. These plans align with city council goals listed below:
Goal 3 – Enhance & Cultivate Relationships, Partnerships, & Community Perceptions
Goal 4 – Increase Public Involvement, Increase Transparency, & Enhance Cultural Diversity
First presented to the Council in April of 2019, the 6x26 Mural Project will beautify the Umatilla community through commissioned artists and public involvement to create murals on downtown buildings. The project will conclude in 2026.
Vision for Nugent Park Mural:
Nugent Park, in Umatilla, Oregon, is the first location for the 6x26 Mural Project. The theme for the mural is “Celebrate Umatilla Parks and Recreation”. The content of the mural is up to the artist’s discretion. Some things to consider include a collage of sports like baseball and soccer. Since the mural is located at Nugent Park, home to the City’s little league field, the sporting component is important. Additionally, the park is just feet from the Umatilla River and a walking path. The mural could include recreation activities such as kayaking, fishing, hiking, and boat launching.
This mural should focus on the theme “Celebrate Umatilla Parks and Recreation”.
