DW Drums celebrating our 50th anniversary with a 5 day event in Santa Monica at 501 Broadway. The company was founded in Santa Monica 50 years ago, so we are hosting a series of events that will be pulling in some of the top drummers of the world, press, our loyal fans and players and others to celebrate with us. Event details are at DWDrums.com/dw50 The spot has two great walls. And the landlord is happy to let us paint it. We’re looking for someone who can do something music inspired for us that will make the space feel special and celebratory, while leaning into our Santa Monica roots.

Colorful and simple so the students can help paint it. But also beautiful and playful.

Use of stencils

Venice Community Housing (VCH) and the Social Justice Learning Institute (SJLI) are inviting artists or artist teams to be considered to work as creative partners to design and implement public art and/or creative solutions at 400 Centinela Avenue in Inglewood, CA. This site is the future location of Sankofa Place at Centinela, a 100% affordable housing development, that also includes SJLI’s headquarters. VCH and SJLI are seeking artist(s) to work collaboratively with VCH and SJLI staff and Architects The AERO Collective and The Architects Collective, within the community context of Inglewood. The goal is to enhance the location with artistic design elements and public artwork that pays homage to the vibrant and diverse people that call Inglewood home.
